Plasmashell normally consumes <1% on idle, however after switching to another activity, it jumps to 10-25% constantly ending after some minutes in flickering of windows.
Without switching, I can work normally for a day.
It appears for latest Tumbleweed and after the switch from Qt 5.7 to Qt 5.9.

-having https://github.com/kotelnik/plasma-applet-weather-widget in the panel increases the probability to trigger the bug BUT it also appears without it (more rarely)
-high cpu usage also appears under a new user.

-it makes the activity idea almost unusable for me :-(

and more importantly: I accidentally used egl, but it is the very same for glx
