Using kdevelop 5.1.0 or the latest nightly build (on 15th June 2017), I tried enabling the perforce plugin, but when I click on New Project, the Version Control System list doesn't mention perforce. My method of enabling the perforce plugin: 1) Setting the P4CONFIG environment variable to my .p4config file, 2) running kdevelop from my project folder with that file (as mentioned in "https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376789"), 3) in the Configure KDevelop -> Plugins settings I enabled the perforce plugin, 4) verified it was still enabled after going back into the Plugins settings.

I tried it with KDevelop Version 5.9.221170 (22.11.70) in the latest unstable KDE Neon, and now the Perforce plugin works! Or atleast it shows a dialog box allowing to set KDevelop settings. I don't know when it was fixed but I'm glad it has. Closing this ticket as Resolved.
