When creating a new tab, KSysGuard shows "Drop Sensor Here"
http://i.imgur.com/IwILMrW.png

Only problem is that it's a mystery where one is supposed to find those sensors to drop them from.

Left/right/middle/double-clicking on the panel does nothing. The menu has no "Sensors" list. Where is one supposed to drop these sensors from?

Same bug. Long time ago, there are no sensors to drag and drop. Even trying to configure tools bar, there are no sensors to show there.

Moreover CAN'T download any worksheet. It always give me something like "Providers load failed from file http://newstuff.kde.org/cgi-bin/hotstuff-preovider?site=ksysguard".

Nothing to drag and drop

It looks like you might have accidentally dragged the sensor browser out of the window? If you move the cursor to the right edge of the window (not to resize it, slightly left of the border), the cursor should turn into a split cursor and then you can drag the browser back in. I agree, it should probably not allow to do that or at least when you enter an empty work sheet the browser should show up again.

Kai you are right, I could drag the "Sensor Browser" out of the right edge.

So this issue is about UX and design:
1. The Sensor Browser should automatically appear when creating a new tab or when the tab's sensor count is 0.
2. Clicking on "Drop Sensor Here" should make it appear.
3. An entry in the View menu, "View > Show Sensor Browser" wouldn't hurt.

That doesn't work for me, it's impossible to get back that buttons. The worst is that I never hided that buttons. This must be some kind of issue and a headache for users :(

Believe it or not, the Sensor Browser had never shown up since I installed Plasma two years ago on Arch Linux, until I read your comment. This may be the most annoying UX issue I've experienced in Plasma.

In fact, Sensor Browser itself isn't referenced from anywhere in the program except for the context help, which makes it not helpful at all. It's as if the Sensor Browser didn't even exist.

Even if the interface is not intuitive, a 'Show Sensor Browser' toggle in the Settings menu (or even in the Keyboard Shortcuts editor) would have allowed us to forcibly make it show up. But, unfortunatly, there is no such option.

ksysguard is no longer maintained, in Plasma 6 there is the Plasma system monitor for this task.

If your issue still happens with the Plasma 6 replacement, please re-open and we can move this bug to the new product, thanks!
