Created attachment 105819 [details] screenshots illustrating the bug Hi, Attaching 3 shots in a .zip illustrating the bug. 01.png = 5.9.5 02.png = after updating to 5.10.0 (without any further action) 03.png = the best I can do
As an alternative, you can consult this https://github.com/Plasmoner/All-things-plasma/issues/1
This isn't a bug. Plasma 5.10 made the icon delegate more compact based on user feedback.
Created attachment 105842 [details] Gap at the right due to tighter folder view item delegates?
The gap isn't a new thing - different screen resolutions can fit a number of icon columns more or less neatly. There's currently no attempt made to adjust the grid spacing to the screen resolution.
Okay. I've got it. Thanks.
"attempt made to adjust the grid spacing to the screen resolution" That would be nice though. Much appreciate your prompt feedback.
Yep, I agree. It's mostly an not-yet-done polish item. I'll edit this ticket to be about that.
That's great news. Feels good to be part of it.
Created attachment 105942 [details] Trying to make it to the little arrow that launches folder view
Created attachment 105944 [details] ... but it's virtually impossible to reach it 'cause the destop toolbox gets triggered in the process :(
Probably just 2 more redundant screenshots. Just wanna make sure the collateral aspects are fully covered.
All that being said and since reverting the grid to what it was in 5.9.5 is probably out of question, the grid adapting to different resolutions is the only viable/long-term solution.
Reinstalled from neon user 20170629-10:46 build and fully updated. No change. Making the folder view item delegates tighter was a good idea but it crated 3 collateral issues: 1. The gap at the right 2. Conflict with Desktop Toolbox (default position) 3. Conflict with hot corner (default position) Please check again https://github.com/Plasmoner/All-things-plasma/issues/1 Thank you
Is not 1920 x 1080 a mainstream resolution anymore?
Make sure you used the git master branch.
*** Bug 382093 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
If it WORKSFORYOU, then it's okay. Thanks.
Should I understand I've run into a dead end? Or are you still considering to fix it in the future?
(In reply to Eike Hein from comment #15) > Make sure you used the git master branch. I'm not sure what you mean.
(In reply to Jonathan Riddell from comment #16) > *** Bug 382093 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Thanks. Wasn't sure if If you noticed my report. Silly me. I'm not reproaching anything and I have nothing but good intentions. Kind regards.
