Description Artem 2017-05-31 21:09:47 UTC
Hello!

I'am working on QML bindings for libkipi (https://github.com/v-for-vandal/kipi-plugins/tree/qtquick) and those bindings reuse some files from common/libkipiplugins/tools. These files are under GPL license but I would like my bindings to be under LGPL license (otherwise no non-GPL application will be able to use them). Is there any way to change license of those files ? May be I can separate those files into their own library, say libkipiplugins-core ?

Gilles, can you check who is the maintainer of affected files? We might need to ask them all.

I already responded by mail send on kde-imaging mailing list...

Artem,

digiKam do not use libkipi since 6.0.0, but we provide a new improved plugins interface only shared between digiKam and Showfoto.

This entry still valid with the new plugin interface ?
