Description Janet 2017-05-29 13:43:29 UTC
When I use any aurorae decoration (newest, older, doesn't matter) I cannot resize my windows with the mouse cursor, the pointer doesn't change to a resize cursor. All I can do to resize a window is by using the window menu in the title bar and use the resize window option. The only window decorations that are capable of resizing by mouse are breeze, oxygen and plastic.
Comment 1 Patrick Silva 2017-05-29 19:58:16 UTC
I can't confirm on my Arch running plasma 5.9.5.
I tested Karc-Dark window decoration.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2017-06-13 22:29:23 UTC
Note that Plastic is actually an Aurorae decoration.
Comment 3 Janet 2017-06-13 23:29:23 UTC
That's interesting. So if Plastik is for Aurorae the problem has to be something else. Plastic, Breeze and Oxygen are the only decorations that follow the color theme. And those 3 are the only decorations on my system not located in /usr/share/aurorae/themes or ~/.local/share/aurorae/themes. Plastik is located in /usr/share/kwin/decorations/kwin4_decoration_qml_plastik/.
Comment 4 Christoph Feck 2017-06-13 23:48:03 UTC
Sorry, maybe there is a difference. All I know is that Plastik is not a .cpp decoration, but uses QML. It is possible that it is implemented in QML directly, i.e. without using the Aurorae engine.

It does not work with e.g. https://store.kde.org/p/1002707 (the one I'm using now) and I just installed https://store.kde.org/p/1185322 for testing and it doesn't work either. I can give more examples if needed.

Comment 11 Janet 2017-07-30 14:39:47 UTC
I just discovered that it works when I set the border size to normal instead of small with the Ghost decoration (first link) and e.g. KArc. With the New Contemporary Dark decoration (second link) that does not work, I have to set the border size to big before I can resize. The border in all cases is visible.

Reopening
Comment 13 Martin Flöser 2017-07-31 15:26:25 UTC
Does the problem resolve itself when changing the size from tiny to e.g. normal?
Comment 14 Alexander Mentyu 2018-04-05 18:15:23 UTC
Windows aren't resizeable in 'New Contemporary Dark' theme if 'Border size' is set to 'No Borders' - but in other themes windows can be resized with 'No Borders' option (Breeze, Oxygen, Plastik, Ghost)
