I recently installed KDE Neon (User Edition) and one thing that bothered me is that there wasn't a calculator application pre-installed. Not a big deal, I installed KCalc. But I expected it to be there, since most (all?) OSs I have used (Win, MacOS, Ubuntu, etc) include one by default and many keyboards even have a shortcut key to launch it. The only calc app that Neon provides is a basic calculator widget.
The Alt+F2 krunner includes a basic calculator.
Noticed the same thing, I would vote for this bug if I could. kcalc should be packaged in the default installation.
Calculator is a basic app that's needed for a OS. I installed Neon in many PCs for my friends who are new to Linux and there's no calculator IN IT ! It's a must-have app.
We deliberately don't install any apps except file manager and web browser by default, it's up to the users to decide what to install
