Description Victor Porton 2017-05-26 14:42:41 UTC
KMyMoney 4.8.0

I configured "Use holiday calendar for region" "Israel (Hebrew)".

I entered some time ago a scheduled transaction every 28th monthly.

But KMyMoney told me that I received the transaction today 26 May 2017.

Does KMyMoney "think" that Sunday is a holiday in Israel? It is a bug (Sunday isn't a holiday in Israel, neither there are other holidays at 28th May). The transaction should happen 28th Sunday.

Does this still occur with 5.x? We just had another but filed (bug 047800) about a moved date for a scheduled transaction. It's not exactly the same problem, but possibly related.

Also - "non-processing day" is not necessarily the same as a "holiday" and at least in the US, both Saturday and Sunday are considered non-processing days. I suppose we might want to better define that term in the handbook, and consider adding a setting for whether Saturday, Sunday, both, or neither are considered non-processing days.

Another several years have gone by, and although I do not know of any changes to KMyMoney's handling of holidays or non-processing days in terms of dealing with scheduled transactions, if nobody can confirm this problem still exists, I'll let it be closed as WORKSFORME. In addition, if there actually ARE any errors in the holiday lists, those are not the responsibility of KMyMoney, and we would have to figure out the right team to handle such an issue.

If the OP is still reading - I'm actually curious whether that change in date was for the first occurrence of that scheduled transaction, or if it or any other scheduled transaction had previously worked correctly over a weekend.
