Description Leigh 2017-05-24 09:49:18 UTC
Running 64-bit digiKam 5.5.0 installer under Windows 8.1, am able to select installation location and then start the "Close Conflicting Programs" step searching for open programs.

Searching on runs until approx 70% before blue-screening with SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION then restarting the OS.

Have also observed the same behaviour in the 5.5.0 Win32 installer and in 5.4.0 Win64 installer.

digiKam 5.6.0 is now released and available as bundle for Linux, MacOS and Windows.

Can you check if problem still exists with this version ?

Thanks in advance

This problem is not reproducible with 5.8.0. I close this file now. Reopen if
necessary.
