Here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353266 it says it was fixed downstream long ago.
Its not fixed nowadays, i can still reproduce this bug in Ark Version 17.04.1 with the same file. Ubuntu patches had nothing to do with it, i am using Manjaro to open archive you can see here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353266 in attachments

Also i can unzip file using unzip tool (unzip test.zip)

Thanks for the report, it seems libzip cannot open the file.

Workaround: disable the libzip plugin in Settings -> Configure Ark -> Plugin Settings

Hi, workaround worked. Also it gives notification that an archive will be opened as Read Only and gives you an option to quit. IMO its better to simply create a new line under toolbar in a different colour(how kate does it) that says its Read Only mode. And if toolbar is moved elsewhere then show it under menu.

Also i've tried to find any libzip bug trackers it appears there is none. How important is this libzip? Is there a need to write authors to email?

Now i see, atleast character encodings is handled better with libzip.

Yes, that's one of the reasons why we are switching to libzip. There is a libzip mailing list, feel free to reach the libzip developers there and send them the link to the this report.

Can you please try again with the latest libzip?

I am able to use libzip (via Ark and via ziptool) to extract attachment 94755 [details] in Bug 353266.
