Sorting is set do 'by date' and 'descending' is enabled. Folder names are chopped up into multiple lines.

KDE File chooser (open or save as dialogues) items shown in multiple lines when sort isn't set to 'by name'.
Using sort 'by type', 'by date', 'by size' results in content being chopped up into multiple rows. Icon size must be set to something other than smallest to reproduce this bug.

Same thing as what pmargeti34@gmail.com writes happens to me in my Manjaro 17.01 KDE. Only when the sort key is set to "name" things are okay, if not file and folder names are chopped after second character.

P.s.
KDE Plasma 5.9.5
KDE Frameworks 5.33.0
Qt version 5.8.0

This bug has been filed 7 months ago, and it's not even confirmed yet? Can any of frameworks-kio developers please try reproducing this bug on their machines?

Thank you so much for letting me know. Hype!
Do you know if the fix will be included in KDE frameworks 5.42?
Comment 6 Nikola Schnelle 2018-01-12 13:09:45 UTC
I don't know. Probably in next release.
