I get a black screen on resuming from suspend to RAM. This happens every single time, but only when using Nvidia proprietary driver. Cannot go to tty with Ctrl-Alt-Fn keys. Nothing works. Just black screen. Not even mouse pointer. I am not sure if this is to be fixed by Nvidia guys or KDE. -Linux Mint 18.1 KDE version, Nvidia 930MX graphics, driver used Nvidia 375/378/381. Hi, I have been facing this problem from the first time I tried KDE, which is 3 months ago. I tried many different nvidia drivers, waiting for each kde and nvidia driver updates. Still the same issue. I have recorded videos showing- -problem when using nvidia driver -working fine with intel graphics Find the recordings here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3aF7WUKvMO4TE5fVlFobXg3RzA Please look into this and fix it asap. Note that it works with open soure nouveau driver. Thanks, Jones
Did you read comment #1?
Yes buddy. In fact I posted the same comment in the other bug thread. It's been a long long time, thought it wouldn't hurt posting here as well. At least then someone will do something. Don't think I'm such a hater. The reason I'm sticking with KDE plasma despite such an annoying bug is that I love it. It's that beautiful. But dunno why it takes this much time to fix it. And don't know if Nvidia is to be blamed or KDE.
Your comment confirms my speculation that you did not read comment #1. Please do not add comments to a ticket when you did not read the previous comments. Only if you have read all comments you are able to decide if adding a new comment will actually provide new information. In your case, your comment did not add any information, but bug triagers and developers still waste time to read it. The result is that developers are less motivated to work on it, not more.
