discover 5.10 beta installs two different desktop files to /usr/share/applications: org.kde.discover.desktop and org.kde.discover-flatpak.desktop. They both show in the menu as "Discover", and they both (apparently) simply launch discover.

Correct, the second one is just to link the mime-type to the application. Just shouldn't be on the menu.
