Description Victor Porton 2017-05-10 13:14:18 UTC
I do not understand how to enter a loan (to a friend) which he should return in an indefinite future (not in a fixed day of a month or like this) without an interest rate.

Please re-design your Loan account dialog to make this easier to enter and understand.

Now your Loan dialog is bloated with interest rates and other information useful when dealing with a bank. I need to deal with a friend not a bank. Please make it easier to lend to a friend and record the information easily (and without definite dates).

The Loan account is designed for bank loans.

Since you do not want a bank loan, don't use the bank loan account type.

For your needs, you could just create a Cash account named "Loan To Friend". Add a transaction to "Pay To" your friend, make up a category, like "Loan", and enter an amount. When your friends pays you back, enter the amount as a "deposit".
