the issue

And there is no way to change that.

While the icon for the other folder can be customised, the inbox only uses the icon for the sent emails folder.

The version I use is not listed, but it's 4:16.04.3-3.
Comment 1 Laurent Montel 2017-05-10 16:25:45 UTC
which icon theme do you use ?
It seems to be a bug in icon theme.
Comment 2 Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2017-05-10 21:22:51 UTC
I use oxygen!

There is an icon that is called inbox and is different, but I can't select it for the inbox folder.

But I am noticing this in the list of the files:

/usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/48x48/places/mail-folder-inbox.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/48x48/places/mail-folder-outbox.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/48x48/places/mail-folder-sent.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/64x64/places/mail-folder-outbox.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/64x64/places/mail-folder-sent.png

There is no inbox file for the 64 icon. Could this be the problem? Even though the icons shown should be smaller than 64, and it should fall back to a smaller one anyway.
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2017-06-02 18:50:40 UTC
You could verify if the missing 64px icon is indeed the cause for the problem by copying (as root) "48x48/places/mail-folder-inbox.png" to "64x64/places/".

Did comment #3 help to resolve the issue?
Comment 5 Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2017-06-15 08:27:49 UTC
No, I still see it using the sent icon.

No idea. Since kmail can no longer login to office email, I can no longer use kmail.
