I'm sorry to disturb you again but I think it would be useful and really easy to accomplish. If you think the opposite just ignore this report.

So I thought on the right click menu somewhere around Suspend RSIBreak and Usage Statistics there could be a new option "Big Break Now" or just "Big Break" which would start a full screen big break immediately. As if the time was up.
It would be possible to take big breaks earlier then.

+1.

I really miss this feature. Workrave has this, it would be nice to have it in RSIBReak too.

What is the use case of this? I mean if you don't touch the keyboard/mouse for a while it already resets the timers. Being able to do it manually seems like "cheating" in this regard.

You might have misunderstood it. RSI disables the screen, right?
There are tiny breaks and big breaks. For me, once an hour, I am required to take a 10 minute break. Of course, you can just stand up and walk away but I wish I could initiate a big break anytime so as not to be able to use my computer for 10 minutes, even if I want to. It's nowhere cheating! You don't just reset the timers!

You mean you're not using the "Take activity into account" setting?

Yes, I do not take activity into account. I might be just sitting by the computer until VM upgrades, or code compiles, or similar.

If I finish some intensive task I might want to make a break right now, not after 6,5 minutes.

I do use it but this is not the point here.
I haven't used Workrave for over 5 years but I think it's called 'Rest Break' button there. if you clicked on the 'big break' button, it would start a break period, in the same way as if the break were due at that time.
In other words, my Big Break duration is set to 10 minutes here. This button would disable the screen for 10 minutes instantly.

Maybe i don't understand what you want, you want the timers to be reset or you want the blocking widget that prevents you from working to appear?

We'd like the blocking widget that prevents us from working to appear.
It should last as long as the big break.
(and it should count as a big break in case 'break at fixed times' is checked)

Ah ok, that makes more sense now :)

+1 for this feature

My use case for it is this:

1. I have quite long large breaks (15 min)
2. Let's say I'm about to finish an email and the RSIBreak popup appears saying the the big break is starting
3. I postpone the break because I want to finish the email (the postpone duration is 5 minutes in my case)
4. One minute after, I finish the email and I'm ready to start the break

Now have to either:

1. Leave the computer for about 20 minutes instead of 15 (the break is postponed for another 4 minutes + 15 for the break itself)
2. Or, start working on something else until the break comes again. And this will likely make me the postpone the break once again because I'm already in the middle of something.
