I was looking for video previews and after some googling I found out that I could install ffmpegthumbs. If the settings pane had told me what was possible it could have made it a nicer process. E.g. "Video preview; requires ffmpegthumbs"

This is implemented in Dolphin 17.12.3, the check box now reads "Video preview (ffmpegthumbs)", marking as fixed.
