Description Noebian 2017-04-26 16:10:13 UTC
I try to print a pdf DIN A4 double-sided.
I select "flip on long side" but the printer flips on the short side. Always.
Double-side printing from other applications works on that printer.

The following additional information might be helpful:

What printer are you using?

Can you please attach the PPD file of your printer, which is usually stored under '/etc/cups/ppd/<YOUR_PRINTER_NAME>.ppd'?

This might be related to bug 373133.

It's an Epson WF 8510
Comment 3 Noebian 2017-07-20 13:15:59 UTC
I tried to attach the file, but it doesn't work. Allways the same window appears "attach a new file". After I put in file and bug-id the same window appears again :(

The problem might be that PPD files in the directory '/etc/cups/ppd' are normally not readable by normal users. Can you try to make a copy of the PPD file with the respective permissions and then try to upload it again?

A problem might be that the PPD does not use the standardized keyword "Duplex" for duplex printing, but some vendor-specific one.

If you could provide the PPD file, this would help to narrow down the problem.

Note in addition, that the "Advanced" options tab has been reintroduced for the current development version of Qt 5 [1], in which case you should be able to select the respective duplex option there if a vendor-specific keyword is being used.
