Description bluescreenavenger 2017-04-24 02:35:08 UTC
It seems that in Dolphin, and in the open file dialog if you enable "show aside preview", that the preview goes by the hovered file.
In Dolphin, you have to hover over the file for a second or two, for it to show in the preview, even if you select the file very quickly.

In the Open File Preview, any file that you hover over, changes the preview instantly.

When the doubleclick-to-open option is selected, I'd more expect it so that previews are only affected by selected files, not files that are hovered. (but keep that behavior for singleclick-top open mode)

Preview-on-hover is intended with both single- and double-click. But if you select a file and don't hover over anything else, it should show the preview for the selected file. Is that not what you're seeing?

I think I might have had "Play Automatically" unchecked...
...now it seems that when I uncheck it, and I click on a sound, the play button is grayed out, and I can't try to replicate it now...

Before, the play button wasn't grayed out... I have double click to open enabled. Say I clicked on Oxygen-Sys-App-Error-Serious-Very.ogg in the Sound selection dialog under System settings. However while trying to move the mouse over to press "Play", I mouse over Oxygen-Window-Shade-Up.ogg, long enough for the lighter blue selection rectangle to go around Oxygen-Window-Shade-Up.ogg.
When I pressed play, it would play Oxygen-Window-Shade-Up.ogg...

...but now it seems that for some reason, when I select a sound, the play button is grayed out, so I guess the behavior has changed, but in the file open window, it is still not possible to click on a sound, and then preview it with the play button on the aside preview. (only works when hovering)

This is Frameworks 5.44

Cannot reproduce in Frameworks 5.47, 5.50, or git master. Let's call it fixed.
