When I try to change the settings of my shortcuts:

The Meta key stops working when pressed alone. So, I can't just press the meta key for getting the menu to show, but I need to use alt + f2 or click on the Plasma menu icon.

Another interesting thing is that I have tried to set meta + j for activate task manager entry 1, meta + k for task man. entry 2, meta + l for 3 and meta + ; for task man. entry 4 and all except meta + k worked. Then I restarted the system and everything suddenly started to work again - including meta + k.

Maybe the custom shortcuts part of plasma mess some things up or general settings when clicked on apply?

Could somebody look at this bug? Thanks.

ok

I can confirm in 5.9.5 that the meta key binding breaks if you remove the default Alt-F1 shortcut. Restoring that shortcut makes the meta key invoke the menu again.

The bug isn't reproducible for me in:

Distribution: KDE neon Developer Edition - Stable Branches
Plasma: 5.11.3
Frameworks: 5.41.0
Qt: 5.9.1
Kernel 4.10.0-38-generic
Type: 64-bit

As for removing Alt+F1 shortcut - not sure if this is a bug and that it's related to this one. Also tried to set activate application dashboard to other than Alt+F1 shortcuts - meta works with them too.

Yes, I can no longer reproduce this either.
