Kate active text view painted grey, with no possibility to interact with it.

I'm running kate on Kubuntu 16.04.2 LTS. At times, when resuming a previous session, kate will initially paint the views as completely blank areas in grey color, as shown in attachment, with no possibility to interact with the text contained in them.

If more than one view is open when the reported behavior occurs, sliding the separator between an active view and an inactive one can force kate to paint both views properly. After this, behavior is normal. If only one view is active at the moment, there's no way to recover.

The bug may be related to the way view information is stored/retrieved into session data.

My installed program and library versions are:
calligar@heplnl151:~$ dpkg -l *kate*

Please test a recent version, 15.12 is quite old already.
Comment 2 Christoph Cullmann 2017-07-24 22:47:10 UTC
Please retry with a current version, can't reproduce this.
