it stops on a spot on the canvas and doesn't move at all after that.
I can't see my brush strokes either.
please help.

Hi Charity,

Are you really using Krita 2.9 on Windows? If so, please upgrade to 3.1. If you're already using 3.1, try to disable opengl (krita/settings/configure krita/display) and see if that makes a difference. If so, please report the version of your display driver here.
