Description Thomas Pointhuber 2017-04-19 11:43:23 UTC
## HowTo reproduce

* Create text and try to enter (Ctrl+Shift+U+Unicode Number) or try to insert some text using Ctrl+V. Nothing happens (or some obscure action)

## Expected behaviour

* at least Ctrl+V can be used to insert text snippets. Support of typing unicode characters using the keyboard would be a nice addition.

## System

 * Antergos x64
 * Gnome 3.22.2 Desktop

Pasting text should work in the multiline mode of the text tool, but hasn't been implemented in the artistic mode of the text tool. The whole text tool is going to be scrapped and replaced for 4.0.

We're working on a new text tool. The old text tool is now unmaintained and we won't be working on it anymore, so let's close all the text tool bugs.
