Button in alphabetical starter application

I ask you to add the "starter" and maybe its alternative application is used to display all apps in alphabetical order, suggest a button "application" on top of "accessories" that allows you to view all installed apps in alphabetical order for a whole picture! so people can choose how to view the software is in the classic way than by alphabetical app.

Doing this is fairly trivial now that Appdash (full screen launcher) has it. The question is whether we should. Usability, what's your opinion? I wouldn't mind but you can also start typing if you already know what you're looking for.

Sounds very Microsoft'ish. W10 changed the start menu to such a list including headers for letters like A, Afoo,Abar,Aqux, B... It makes no sense with a tree, IMHO, and running behind MS feels bad to me. Also the use case is not perfectly clear as the overview rather lacks on structure. I assume it was done at W10 to get away from the "complex" tree control.
Alternative ways to show the list of installed apps could be offered by the software manager (Muon, or whatever your distribution provides) and at KRunner (far fetched though).

Agreed, I find the Windows 10 default start menu super cluttered and hard to use.

We already structure the applications based on category, so a flat list of applications won't help you much. If you find it in the A-Z list, you still won't know where it "actually" resides, and if you know what you're looking for, you can type to search and/or add it as favorite if used often.

Closing, then, thanks for your input, Heiko.
