I think it would be nicer if the banner on the right, when expanded, aligned with the bottom of the blue part (i.e. the thing containing the kde logo and the search bar) in the left "sidebar". Currently it is not aligned (see the circled region in the attached screenshot) which doesn't look right (in my opinion at least :-)).
That's correct, maybe kirigami is interested in it as both components are in kirigami, I'm not sure it's something we want to chase after though.
This was fixed some time ago, you'll get it with newer Kirigami.
