CPU compsumption by kdeconnectd and plasmashell

When I send large file from android to PC, kdeconnectd consumes about 100% of CPU, and plasmashell also consumes about 100%, so two cores of my processor are totally busy.

Kubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
kdeconnect 1.0.3-0ubuntu1~ubuntu16.04~ppa1 amd64
plasma-workspace 4:5.8.5-0ubuntu2~ubuntu16.04~ppa2 amd64

As first step, updating kdeconnect wouldn't hurt. I haven't seen this problem in ages.
Also a backtrace of where kdeconnect is when this happens could help to see what's being called all that often.
