Description amelie.lulia68 2017-04-01 14:47:57 UTC
I am not sure if this problem is related to kfile. If not, I'm sorry.
When I open a file dialog in Qt applications, all my applications and cursor lag or even freeze for 5 to 15 seconds before the dialog opens, and when I close it it lags again, but slightly less.
Reopening the same file dialog immediately after this does not cause any lag, but opening it a third time causes lag again. (this sometimes doesn't work)
I've tried this in Krita, Kolourpaint and Karbon, and Krita is the application where it causes the most lag and freezing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Krita / Kolourpaint / Karbon
2. Open a file using the file dialog

Actual Results:
System-wide lag or freezing and long wait time for the dialog to open

Expected Results:
No lag or freezing

Do you have any network mounts in your Places panel?
