Description Ronny Pfannschmidt 2017-03-28 15:05:22 UTC
plasma5? remembered my main screen should be disable when my external monitor is attached,
now that i had a cable issue and the other monitor did not work as expected, it was impossible to alter that setting because whenever i attached the screen not working correctly the one that was working got turned off

however while the monitor was not connected, the view was changed to my laptop screen being enabled

so i had no way to edit the "profile" for "external monitor attached" while that monitor was attached,

this prevented figuring the actual issue with the cable until i got the connection working again

i reported this in the downstream https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/24408
