coredump-kcmshell5

Hello. Recently I've been unable to open the connection editor on the plasma-nm applet on my taskbar. I believe this started happening after I installed networkmanager-openvpn

I don't get any visual errors when I try to open it other than the plasma-nm applet minimizes. When I perform 'journalctl -xe' I get a message such as:

"Process 10049 (kcmshell5) crashed and dumped core."

Attached is my the output from 'coredumpctl gdb'

This looks like a Qt issue. Could you try to install debug symbols for qtbase and plasma-nm and provide better backtrace?
Comment 3 Mark P 2017-03-30 14:45:10 UTC
it appears the only way in arch to install debug symbols is to recompile both manually. That's a little much for me to do right now.

I tested plasma-nm on my previous laptop, which is also updated to the latest, and the problem doesn't occur there. Noting that, I doubt this is a widespread bug. Could be a possible user error / install error.

I will reinstall and see if the issue persists and this issue can be marked as closed.

Closing. Please reopen if you are still able to reproduce this issue and provide proper backtrace in that case.
