Description Vladyslav Tronko 2017-03-23 16:43:49 UTC
Removing files to trash takes ~6-7 seconds before file is actually removed, popup in notification area is shown and folder view is updated.
It's 16.12.3 version (dno why it is absent in Versions list)
Comment 1 Elvis Angelaccio 2017-03-25 16:54:16 UTC
How big were those files? Were they on the "main" disk or an external hard disk?
Comment 2 Vladyslav Tronko 2017-03-25 20:16:33 UTC
Size doesn't matter. 1kilobyte text files have the same delay before removal.
Main disk, solid state drive. There wasn't such issue before.
Comment 3 Elvis Angelaccio 2017-04-21 16:50:18 UTC
Thanks. We need a backtrace to check what's going on during those 6-7 seconds.

Please start dolphin from gdb. Then, as soon as the delay starts, hit CTRL+C in gdb and finally post here the output of the 'bt' command (always from gdb).

@Vladyslav, could you please try to reproduce this issue & provide the information requested in comment 3? It would be very helpful for us if we had a backtrace available.
Comment 5 Julian Steinmann 2018-04-28 11:45:41 UTC
Does this still happen with newer versions of Dolphin? If yes, please add a backtrace as requested in comment 3.
Comment 6 Julian Steinmann 2018-05-15 10:28:13 UTC
No response -> closing. Please reopen this report if you can still reproduce this behavior with newer versions of Dolphin.
