Sometimes yakuake stops accepting input. It does not help to open new tabs (which is still possible) as these tabs also do not accept input any more. It happens more often when I switch my keyboard to another computer via an USB switch. Normal konsole windows continue to work.
@Achim Herwig. Are shortcuts working? Like - 'Ctrl+Shift+T' - new tab, 'Ctrl+Shift+Right' - change tab to right, 'Ctrl+Shift+Left' - change tab to left, 'Ctrl+Shift+V' - paste clipboard, 'Ctrl+Shift+S' - save output.
I can confirm this, I have updated to Ubuntu 22.04 yesterday, and today I incounterd with this issue.

No, none of the keyboard related inputs are working. Mouse inputs are still accepted.
What I'm seeing it's not that yakuake doesn't accept input but that it loses focus. I can see the shell cursor change from ▮ to ▯ after maybe a second when I click on it to give it focus. This started yesterday after upgrading plasma packages to 5.25.3 on Arch Linux. Maybe the issue is in kwin?
I have the same issue, two things I noted though which make me wonder if that's really a yakuake bug though: 1. if I kill yakuake and launch it again, then it works just fine 2. keepassxc is also affected I didn't spot any other application which are affected though.
Seems to be related to ibus not starting anymore somehow: systemctl --user status 'app-ibus\x2dautostart@autostart.service' Shows the service as failed. If I force the start: systemctl --user start 'app-ibus\x2dautostart@autostart.service' Then it all works fine again. Only thing I could find in the logs related to this is: Aug 30 16:23:50 wintermute systemd[1987]: app-ibus\x2dautostart@autostart.service: start operation timed out. Terminating. Aug 30 16:23:50 wintermute systemd[1987]: app-ibus\x2dautostart@autostart.service: Failed with result 'timeout'.
