The file association is set for .odt files to open in OpenOffice Writer. If I doubleclick on an .odt file, Dolphin opens it as a krarc:/// directory, which seems to be a dead end.
  If I rightclick on the .odt file and choose Open with OpenOffice Writer all works fine.
  Any other file manager I have tried opens the .odt files in OpenOffice Writer, when I doubleclick on them.
  This begun to happen after an incident with an .odt file, when I deleted as well the Textdokument.odt file itself as the .~lock.Textdokument.odt# file. So no effort was made by OpenOffice to restore the Textdokument.odt file.
  It happens ONLY with .odt files, .ods spreadsheet files open correctly in OpenOffice Calc.
