Description Don Curtis 2017-03-17 17:25:46 UTC
If more than one Identity is configured, the "new, but nice" feature that substitutes "Me" for my e-Mail address in received e-Mails disappears -- the displayed text is the "To:" or "CC:" text of the e-Mail header.

The KMail 5.3.0 (QtWebEngine) configuration is fresh -- neither imported nor upgraded from a previous KDE Plasma version.

The local e-Mail directories are located in the directory:
   ~/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource_0/

There are 3 POP-3 receive and 3 SMTP transmit connections defined.

If 2 Identities are deleted (the POP-3 and SMTP definitions remain; the Mail Folders defined for the other Identities remain as well), the displayed "Me" behaves as expected.

When one of the deleted Identities is re-defined, display of "Me" misbehaves.

Why multiple Identities?

Take a look at "Create a new KDE Bugtracking System account":
<https://bugs.kde.org/createaccount.cgi>

Hi,
It's normal if we have several identity we need to know which address is used.
Otherwise you don't know if it's your personal address or business address for example.
So I decided to activate this feature to unique email.

Regards

Yes, but:
 1. There's the "Standard" Identity.
 2. There's an e-Mail address noted in the KDE System Configuration in the User Account details.
---------------------------
Therefore, IMHO, there's 2 places where one could determine the preferred identity related to "Me".
