I added a new panel to the top of my screen which has a start-menu on the left, then comes a global menu widget and finally the systemtray and clock on the far right. However, whenever I restart plasma, all the widgets move towards the left! It is slightly annoying to need to move them back whenever I log out and then log back in. Note, the bug seems similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=272812, but that was for plasma4, this happens in KF5 based plasma!
Can you perhaps createa before-after screenshot or a screencast? Does it only happen with global menu or does it not matter what widgets there are to trigger this? I have never experienced this bug.

can you also include the files ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc before and after?

Hmm, now I noticed that the files (before and after) are identical.
Has there been any progress on this? I began seeing the same behavior when I switched to a global menu in KDE 5.12.5, KDE Frameworks 5.45.
Correction to my comment 9. I didn't know I had to insert spacers into the panel. It is not a bug.
Since some time I can't reproduce the bug so I am closing it...
