Description Martin Tlustos 2017-03-14 08:10:46 UTC
It would be nice to quickly define a scan area from a dropdown list without having to run a preview first - like A4/A5/A6 portrait (and landscape for the smaller ones), maybe others and even custom areas...

That would be exactly the feature I'm looking for. I simply want to put my papers to be scanned on the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) and start the job, without having to cut each scan to the paper size (A4), as it is done in Windows.
If such a feature doesn't exist for a simple scanning tool, it's normal that people will not use linux instead of windows.

My opignion

It's probably the only feature that it's missing for me. The first thing that I usually do after scanning is opening an image editor to cut the image (a scanned document) to the proper paper size.

The default value shown (unless overridden) could be read from the default printer size, if available. It would be enough to remember the last chosen value.

This has been implemented for some time now.
