Description Ovidiu-Florin BOGDAN 2017-03-10 08:49:55 UTC
My setup consists of a laptop with a 4k screen, and 2 full HD monitors connected to it via a docking station.

The scaling in the display kcm changes the scaling on all monitors, thus either making things extremely tiny on the laptop screen, or extremely big on the external monitors.

I have fiddled with Xrandr trying to scale down the external monitors, after scaling everything to 2 from the kcm, but this only resulted in tearing, and a 5 pixels height workspace on the external monitors.

I don't know what else to try.

The problem is the same even with just one external monitor.

P. S. Am I reporting this under the right product? Should this be under kscreen instead?

The feature mentioned here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377272 worked at some point, and was almost usable, but the title bars remained the same size, thus taking a lot of space.

I never got one. I'll check the list archive.
