kontact keeps losing connections with the imap server. Mar 8 18:46:15 x2 akonadi_imap_resource: org.kde.pim.akonadicore: The item sync is being rolled-back. Mar 8 18:46:15 x2 akonadi_imap_resource: org.kde.pim.imapresource: Fetch job failed "Connection to server lost." Mar 8 18:46:15 x2 akonadi_imap_resource: org.kde.pim.imapresource: "" Mar 8 18:46:47 x2 akonadi_imap_resource: org.kde.pim.kimap: Connection to server lost 0 Mar 8 18:46:47 x2 akonadi_imap_resource: org.kde.pim.imapresource: Session login cancelled I can usually access 1 or 2 emails before it loses the session. It becomes unresponsive and if I shutdown and restart kontact, it segfaults. Kontact is so complex the only solution is to reboot the system.
This happened another 3 or 4 times today. Is there any troubleshooting information you might want? Sometimes it segfaults, sometimes the front-end just cannot communicate at all.
Have the same problem with the kmail 5.9.1 under debian 9.5/sid org.kde.pim.kimap: Connection to server lost 9 org.kde.pim.imapresource: Session login cancelled org.kde.pim.kimap: Connection to server lost 9 org.kde.pim.imapresource: Session login cancelled ... The server reports almost every few seconds: Oct 29 16:49:13 xxx dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 0 secs): user=<>, rip=2003:xxx, lip=2a01:xxx, TLS handshaking: SSL_accept() syscall failed: Success, session=<T/jEAmB5BqggAwDiry2dAAB69dJU2Ufj>

I can't reproduce this with the current release. I needed help a long time ago.

Thank you! Happening now every few minutes in Arch with KMail version 5.23.2, Akonadi version 23.04.2. Akonadi message is: org.kde.pim.imapresource: Get metadata failed: "Connection to server lost."
