Description Michael 2017-03-03 17:50:37 UTC
Discover: wifi is used to identify current updates but internet declared 'missing' when updates requested. Start discover when tray icon shows updates available. Updates are identified in Discover selection list. Select 'UPDATE' and password is requested. List of updates disappears and notice appears saying network unavailable, cannot update whilst no network. Apparently connecting the ethernet cable fixes this 'network' problem, but problem returns if ethernet cable is removed.
opening an x window terminal and using 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get upgrade' works flawlessly over the >>missing<< wifi.

This bug is being entered over the 'missing' wifi connection.

I am using kubuntu 16.04.1 (or maybe .2) with kde desktop and plasma screen.
