The progress bar in KMail consumes WAY too much CPU (upwards of 70% CPU for kmail, plus another reasonable chunk for X itself), even if collapsed. When trying to use a laptop with battery power, one has to remember to minimise the kmail window. That also means I can't read email while kmail is checking for new emails. There's no reason for the bar to be this complex. A distraction widget should have minimal CPU, GPU and power impact. Make it simple or remove it. If this is a Breeze issue, please reassign.

I haven't observed high CPU usage because the progress panel simply can't be expanded. The button on the left of the progress bar does nothing besides change the direction of the arrow.
