OS Ubuntu 16.04
dolphin was installed via 
"sudo apt-get install dolphin"

When I open the terminal (either via the menu option or via the Dolphin shortcut) - the empty panel appears at the bottom of Dolphin, and no terminal opens.

Hi, you need to install also konsole.

Thanks for your assistance. 
I've figured it out later, and everything works fine now, but I wasn't able to find a UI to delete my initial bug report.
