Description livier 2017-02-28 03:14:34 UTC
With dolphin, as ususal, I click an *.odt file and hope libreoffice to open it.

As unusual, th file opens as an archive in dolphin through krarc:/ protocol.

Yes it is interessant to know what the odt file is made off and I can open it with libreoffice manually ...

I would just like click to open !

Neon LTS 5.8 Plasma 5.8.5 Kde 5.31.0 Qt 5.7.1 noyau 4.4.0-64generic

My /home/user profile is very old, 10 years maybe, sice kde3 and passed through differnt kubuntu installations. Krusader installed.

krarc:/ is provided by krusader. If you don't want to use it, you can disable opening archives as folder in: Configure Dolphin -> Navigation.
Comment 2 livier 2017-03-01 15:39:44 UTC
Yes, that is a workaroud that works,
but I loose the ability to open real archives as *.zip, *.iso etc that are very nice when opened as folders in dolphin or krusader (that i love too)
Just want odt files to be preferedly viewed as documents files than archives in first intention.
Yes, they are archives too, but i do not have to work on them in that way.
In kde config system > "configuration des associations de fichier" (do not know exact translation in english) , odt files are associated to 1) libreoffice 2 Okular 3) Ark ... that is good.
I just not want Krarc:/ to take the place before.
This happened after I used Neon for the fist time. Before, with kde it was wright.
How do you say "effet de bord" in english ? Side effect ?
You should say it is a minor bug, but if easy to correct for me and futures Neon release ...

openend in libreoffice than krarc:/

Moving to krusader, let's see what the krusader devs can say about this.

New aspect of the bug,
After uninstall krusader and trying to open *.odt file, I get

Unable to create io-slave. klauncher said: Impossible de trouver le module externe kio_krarc.

Hope that help

I can remember that we had the problem of krarc interfering with way too many mimetypes (amongst others odt) but it should be fixed now.

@livier what version of Krusader are you using?

>Unable to create io-slave. klauncher said: Impossible de trouver le module externe kio_krarc.

Uninstalled KIO plugins are not instantly updated (same with KParts). One login/logout fixed it?

It seems fine now, thanks
Comment 9 livier 2017-03-20 21:35:17 UTC
I said it is fine now, it was a mistake.
krarc was used again to open odt file instead of libreoffice
trying to update :
krusader est déjà installé avec la version demandée (1:2.5.0-0neon+16.04+build1)

Is not it the last release ?

It is the last release but the fix is not in the release, you need to run git master.
