does it work if you drag a video file from a file manager into the project bin ? I have seen crashes like you describe caused by the 'PREVIEW' feature of the file dialog widget. Maybe disabling preview can help
Created attachment 104229 [details] attachment-20039-0.html Thanks for the prompt answer! No, I can't drag files, kdenlive seems to freeze the moment I open the window to choose the files from. Which is also the reason I'm not able to disable preview. Unless there is another option, I didn't discover yet. I'm pretty new at video editing programs and still looking into the various options I have. 2017-02-26 9:57 GMT+01:00 Jean-Baptiste Mardelle <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org>: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376944 > > --- Comment #1 from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle <jb@kdenlive.org> --- > does it work if you drag a video file from a file manager into the project > bin > ?
