Description Gábor Katona 2017-02-22 10:22:52 UTC
I use my Dell E7470 either with its own screen or with a port replicator having two screens attached to it (internal screen disabled). Before connecting to the port replicator the laptop is in sleep mode, put there using only the internal screen. After connecting and resuming the result is sometimes a kernel panic.
It happens erratically, but it is present at least in the previous 2 months (but maybe even earlier). I do not see any info in systemd journal. Maybe with some guide I can give more info.

The system is openSUSE Tumbleweed, currently running plasma 4.9.1, frameworks 5.30.0, kernel 4.9.9. But this happened with previous plasma versions also.

there isn't really much we can do a bout a kernel panic, it's a kernel/drivers problem
