I have a project, I follow these steps:

- Go to Project Bin
- Add Slideshow Clip
- Choose Mimetype
- Choose a Folder
- Choose JPG, ensure some images appear in the list
- Frame duration 00:00:03,00
- Important: enable Center crop, Dissolve, Wipe and some Animation
- OK
- Play slideshow.

Actual behavior: Slideshow plays, but no effect appears! I tried several combinations of Center crop, Dissolve, Wipe and Animation, and every choice is ignored. No effects.

Expected behavior: Slideshow plays, effects are applied.

Additional information: Fedora 25, with kdenlive-16.08.3-2.fc25.x86_64 from RPMFusion.

Hello,
Sorry for the late answer,
The bug had been fixed in 16.12.1, it was failing with certain locales only => if you are stuck to 16.08, either try our up-to-date appimages, or change you locale setting...
