If the Present Windows effect is active, and you activate the Show Desktop action by hitting a hot corner, it causes the windows to all disappear without terminating the Present Windows effect. Then, if you mouse over the invisible windows, they pop out of nowhere.
This report has been edited to "Show Desktop should be disabled during fullscreen effects," which I disagree with. From a usability perspective, if I am in an effect like Present Windows, there could absolutely be cases where I would want to go directly to showing the desktop. If anything, the thing to do here here is to have Show Desktop cancel the Present Windows effect.
