Description Dav 2017-02-13 17:39:47 UTC
Hello,

My pictures are stored in a remote folder access through NFS. Albums are configured as mountable folders.

After setting wrong permissions in these folder, all the meta information stored on each folder in the album view (categories, comments, specified date, thumbnails) have disappeared.
Restoring appropriate permissions does not restore these informations.

Expected Results:
Keep information even if files are not readable.

digikam 5.4, Using:
KDE Frameworks 5.18.0
Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1)
The xcb windowing system

Why do you assign this file to AlbumView-Group ? The title said the image properties as Labels and comments are lost.

Hello Gilles,

Perhaps the selected category is wrong, I'm sorry: I'm talking about the left part of the main digikam interface which show the directory tree and album folder: properties are those one when we right click on one album.

Maik,

Probably, the database considerate the collection are not available for a valid workflow, as nothing is editable...

Hello Gilles and Maik,

after testing with DK 8 with an unmounted folder, I still can see both descriptions and dates.
I would say this issue can be closed now.
Kind regards

Dav
