Hello, My pictures are stored in a remote folder access through NFS. Albums are configured as mountable folders. After setting wrong permissions in these folder, all the meta information stored on each folder in the album view (categories, comments, specified date, thumbnails) have disappeared. Restoring appropriate permissions does not restore these informations. Expected Results: Keep information even if files are not readable. digikam 5.4, Using: KDE Frameworks 5.18.0 Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1) The xcb windowing system

Hello Gilles and Maik, after testing with DK 8 with an unmounted folder, I still can see both descriptions and dates. I would say this issue can be closed now. Kind regards Dav
