Description Gregor Mi 2017-02-12 20:55:39 UTC
The "Open original directory" opened with Gnome Files instead of Dolphin.

Default Applications -> "File Manager" was set to "Dolphin". When I set it to "dolphin" (minor case) it now works correctly.

I wonder if something was changed and the Default Applications behavior was not updated accordingly.

Where is this "Open original directory"?
Comment 2 Gregor Mi 2017-02-13 18:13:02 UTC
Ah, sorry, it is in the context menu of symlinked folders.

Could you add a screenshot? I don't have that option.

Context menu of symlinked folder in Folder View Plasma 5.9.2

I added a screenshot. The option is gone now (upgraded from openSUSE Leap 42.1 with KDE repos to Tumbleweed with Plasma 5.9.2). It was a useful feature. Seems that it was removed.

Closing - cause mentioned 'Open original directory' right click menu item not present in updated releases
