I use a HSV filter to colorize a grey butterfly on a range of frames (+100) and this seems to take about 1-2 minutes on a very good machine. This seems like overkill, but at least it doesnt have bugs like transform masks.
just now i did a flatten layer operation that took 5 minuts at least =(
Maybe we can use the same mechanism we use in 4.0 to render the frames in threads to apply filters and other operations in threads.
Is this still a problem? I've tried this on master with an animation containing 129 frames and it finished merging a HSV filter layer onto my keyframes layer in ~14 seconds. It's definitely not instant, but also not too bad compared to waiting minutes. Marking this as working for me.
