screenshot of the default photo after trying to save a different photo

I'm using Krecipes Version 2.1.0 from the Linux Mint repositories. As of this new version, when I try to add a photo to a recipe, the photo is not saved and the default photo of tux as a chef appears. I have tried importing both jpg and png files and neither save. Strangely, this only happens with new recipes I enter and not the recipes I already had entered in the older version of Krecipes.

I could be wrong, but looking at the code, there only seems to be two processes to saving a file in the database - one is to encode the file and the second is to save the file in the database. I wondered if there was an issue with the encode libraries, so I tried saving a recipe image, and that worked fine, which means it is able to decode (I guess the same routines are used for displaying the images).
If there is a way to get some debug out, I could try, as I really miss having a fully functioning KRecipes again.
Thanks,

Thanks Ian. I gave up on it and I am now using Gourmet Manager which
uses python which makes it a bit easier to fix things.

Regards

Thank you for the suggestion of Gourmet Manager. There are a number of features which look nice - such as being able to adjust the recipe size and when printing being able to have a page break between recipes.
I will look at importing from KRecipes as I would not want to have to start from scratch again!
If I knew the toolchain used etc., I would have a quick look at seeing if I can find the problem in KRecipe. It is a shame that there is this problem, as I do rate it as an application otherwise!
Many thanks,

KRecipes is no longer in the repositories or maintained. I wasn't able to install it again. Not sure what that means regarding the status of the bug.
