Created attachment 103827 [details] Menu unfolding on the wrong direction When the "tittle bar button" for the menu is placed on the right side, the menu tends to show outside the screen, hovering the mouse a couple of times sometimes brings the menus back to the left side, but does it in a erratic way. It seems as if at times the menu direction will follow the mouse position on the menu entries, yet as mentioned above, is erratic, working and not working at times. The ideal behavior would be that if the button is placed on the right, all the menus should unfold to the left, automatically. and vise versa. I have a picture showing the problem.
Can reproduce this bug in: Plasma: 5.11.5 Apps: 17.12.1 Qt: 5.10.0 Frameworks: 5.42.0 Kernel: 4.14.14-1-MANJARO
I was about to submit the same bug. Reproducible on 5.11.5 on Arch Linux like Alexander.

In the screenshot it seems like it's on the panel(?), but it's the same if it's on the title bar. Only shows menu on it's right. I think perhaps the way to deal with it would be for it to know screen edges, like right clicking on the desktop know whether it should display the menu on the right/left or where to spawn the submenus.
Can confirm. The title bar menu does not respect screen borders most of the time (not always though). The screenshot is a bit confusing, but it's actually as the bug title says it: a title bar button, not a Global Menu applet on a panel. Moving to KWin / appmenu accordingly.
